What is the purpose of collecting and processing your personal data?

Mediq collects personal data via careersatmediq.com in order to:

  • Enable you to apply for specific jobs and use our website functionality
  • Process your online application and communicate about the procedure
  • Assess your suitability as a candidate
  • Contact you, answer any questions you may have or supply the requested content
  • Inform you about relevant new vacancies
  • Gain insight into the use of our website and to improve the user experience

Which personal data do we collect?

Mediq may use for instance your personal data to contact you regarding your application or to schedule a job interview. We will also use your data to see if we have any other vacancies that suit your interests.

For the purpose of processing of your application we collect:

  • Contact details such as your first and last name, initials, title, address, e-mail address and telephone number
  • Information from your resume, LinkedIn profile and motivation letter, on for example your educational level
  • Information about your availability, the number of hours you want to work per week and your salary indication
  • Information about your employment history, your previous employers, internships and references
  • Information from personal and telephone conversations
  • Data on which we assess your potential suitability as an employee
  • Special personal details such as your picture, if you have included it in your CV or on your LinkedIn profile

How do we process personal data?

Mediq processes personal data by, among other things, collecting, storing, modifying, requesting, using, forwarding or deleting information. Mediq stores your personal data to the extent necessary to be of service to you, and to the extent required or permitted by law. Personal data that are no longer needed will be deleted as soon as possible.

When we process personal data, we adhere to the requirements of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). That means that we:

  • Only use your personal data for legitimate purposes
  • Take appropriate security measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unlawful processing and also demand this of parties that process personal data on our behalf
  • Do not store your personal data longer than necessary for the specific purpose for which we obtained your personal data
  • Respect your rights to view, correct and delete your personal data upon request

How long do we keep your data?

The data required for sending job alerts is stored until the moment you deregister. We will store your application data for up to four weeks after the application process has been terminated, unless we have your permission to keep this data longer. Keeping your application data longer will enable us to approach you with suitable vacancies in the future. In this case, we save your application data for a maximum of one year. You can always withdraw this permission.

Distribution to third parties

We sometimes engage a third party to carry out the application procedure, for example recruitment or assessment agencies. The information you provide will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary for processing your application or requested services. External vendors are also required to handle your personal data with care. Every external vendor with whom we do business that involves personal data, has a separate agreement with Mediq that meets the requirements of the law.

Can your data be modified or deleted?

You can always contact us with the request to view or correct your personal data, to supplement it or to delete it if it is factually incorrect, incomplete or irrelevant. In addition, you can invoke the right to erasure and restriction of processing as described in the GDPR. You can also object to the processing of your personal data.
