Global Head of Sales & Operations Planning

What are you going to do?

You will be instrumental in defining and executing the S&OP strategy, which is crucial for operational efficiency and cost management. You will lead a team of five direct reports to an engaged & successful team. You will be the authority and go-to expert for both internal and external stakeholders regarding supply chain matters. Your analytical prowess will be key in identifying areas for improvement and driving international projects to enhance the supply chain's effectiveness.
This role is designed for someone who is not only driven but also possesses a strategic mindset and the ability to think critically about complex systems.

You will be developing and implementing a Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) strategy that aligns with business goals is a multifaceted process. It involves clear communication of the strategy to key stakeholders to ensure transparency and alignment. Establishing specific goals and objectives for the S&OP process is crucial, as these should support the company's overall strategic direction.

Collaboration with the Sales department is essential to gather and analyze data for accurate forecasting. This data-driven approach enables the delivery of precise demand forecasts across all Mediq countries and units. An integral part of this strategy is the continuous monitoring of forecast accuracy, which involves identifying, explaining, and resolving any deviations from the forecast. This proactive approach ensures that the S&OP strategy remains robust and responsive to the dynamic nature of the business environment.

Next to that you hold responsibility for optimizing stock levels & availability,  and delivering budget for S&OP budget across countries. You are key in clear communication to key stakeholders about the S&OP process: COO, VP Supply Chain, Sales Management, Supply Chain and Finance.

What is your background?

With a solid university background in Supply Chain management and over ten years’ experience, in S&OP and replenishment, your profile is well-suited for a role that demands a strategic and operational mindset. Your expertise as a Head of S&OP, coupled with a strong sense of urgency and a deadline-driven approach, makes you an ideal candidate for dynamic environments where efficiency and time management are key.
Your fluency in Dutch and English, along with German proficiency, enhances your ability to communicate effectively across diverse teams and stakeholders.

Your passion for achieving excellence through relationship building and your proven track record in process optimization, stakeholder and expectation management align with the strategic goals of organizations seeking to balance long lead times with high product availability and efficient stock management.

Your experience in managing complex, inter-departmental supply chain projects and formal processes, as well as your adeptness in resource, budget, risk, and change management, are invaluable. Furthermore, your experience in fostering strategic external relationships with third parties positions you as a strong leader in the field.
