Business Development Manager Diabetes

Over the last years Mediq has grown fast organically and inorganically, driven by an aggressive M&A strategy. As the company continues to grow, Mediq seeks growth through business development and innovation. Mediq is determined to build a Group Commercial Category Management function across the organization that drives high impact to the top and bottom line. With our European footprint, Mediq’s category management spans across all geographies with a representation in local teams. In this role you will be part of the global team and report directly to the Category Director.

What are you going to do?

​As business development manager diabetes it is your task to grow our diabetes business across clusters and markets as defined in our category strategy. Growth and innovation are keywords in all you do. You look for growth in countries where Mediq already has a diabetes business and explore opportunities in others. Your focus is on generating new business by giving Mediq access to new products and creating value propositions around data and prevention. You work on solutions to ease the work of health care professionals and to stimulate self management for people with diabetes. You know about pumps, sensors and (semi) closed loop systems. You are interested in developing value propositions around data and the insights it could offer. You are familiar with digital solutions and platforms for disease management and would like to support the prevention of diabetes and its complications.

What is your background?

  • You have a masters degree and more than 5 years of working experience in the healthcare industry
  • Knowledge of the full category management process and ability to adapt this process to pragmatically deliver challenging targets across the group​
  • In-depth knowledge of the diabetes business, preferably including a network which gives you access to potential partners
  • You have the ability to drive business development​
  • You are a strategic thinker, able to tackle complex issues and develop innovative solutions that result in winning partnerships ​
  • You are result oriented and structured
  • You are able to build good relationships with other stakeholders and team members whose feedback and support is key ​
  • Your presentation skills are excellent, you have the ability to write and speak clearly. You communicate complex ideas in a way that is easy to understand​
  • Fluency in English and residency in a Mediq country is a must, professional working proficiency in German, Dutch or Danish is nice to have​.
