Global Sourcing Analyst

Over the last years Mediq has grown fast organically and inorganically, driven by an aggressive M&A strategy. As the company continues to grow, Mediq seeks to create leverage of scale, skill and best practices in its commercial offering. With our European footprint, Mediq’s Sourcing spans across all geographies with a centralized category team and local sourcing teams. Mediq is on it’s way to build world-class sourcing function across the organization under the leadership of the VP Sourcing and is now building the Sourcing Organization. The Sourcing Analyst will have the opportunity to take part in this exciting journey and shape the future of sourcing at Mediq. In this role you will be part of the global team and report directly to the VP Sourcing.

What are you going to do?

The Sourcing Analyst is providing analytical input to the global sourcing organization. Translates analytics into findings and triggers the organisation to act. He/she is responsible for:

  • Preparing a fact base to provide management information to prepare negotiations and identify margin improvements opportunity in the portfolio.
  • Tracking progress on key initiatives, designs dashboards and reports on various dimensions like savings, contract coverage and payment terms.
  • Designs standard formats, tools and drive standardization across the geographies when it comes to data, tracking progress and reporting
  • Coordinates and facilitate the budgeting process for sourcing. And supports ideation workshops to underpin the budget with a data fact base

Essential for the role is being able to work in a cross functional international matrix environment, converge deviating views to an aligned set of priorities and requirements. This requires excellent stakeholder management skills and a positive can-do mentality.

Key Accountabilities:

Data Analytics

  • Organizes data in a way that it becomes management information
  • Analyse data to Identify opportunity for Margin Improvement
  • Support supplier negotiations with quantitative data
  • Translates analysis into findings
  • Triggers the organisation to act

Track and report Progress

  • Create reports and develop dashboards
  • Measures progress on saving initiatives
  • Define and track corrective actions
  • Reports on progress of improvement projects and
Support (financial) planning:
  • Develops tools and templates for budget/forecasting
  • Drive one way of working across the countries
  • Manage timelines and deadlines for receiving inputs
  • Supports planning and execution of ideation workshops to underpin budget

Support global tools/systems

  • System administrator for Contract Management
  • Subject Mater Export on Initiative Management tool
  • Owner of SharePoint Site

Prepare Executive Communication

  • Prepares monthly performance reports
  • Co-develops executive presentations
  • Supports updates
Other items:
  • Participate in master data improvement projects
  • Conduct supplier benchmarking exercises and track supplier SLAs
  • Conduct market research into expected turnover, profitability, sales market and positioning of competitors
  • Work with External agencies/consultants on specific projects/assignments

What is your background?

  • Knowledge of procurement principles and techniques
  • Ability to translate information from various sources into self-speaking and actionable messages an layouts
  • Experience in financial planning and forecasting

  • Ability to be clearly communicate, verbally and in writing, and to collaborate with individuals at all levels
  • Relevant MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and preferably procurement tools

Education & Experience

  • Master degree
  • More than 8 years of functional and industry-relevant working experience
