IT Procurement Manager

What is your role?

The procurement manager IT is a temp role focused on IT integration work for a newly acquired company in the UK. You will have experience in procurement IT. You will become the integrated business partner to the CIO. And will work closely together with his organization to address all ongoing activities related to IT integration project in the UK.

Key Accountabilities

Strategy & Business Partnering

  • Be an integrated business partner to the CIO and their organization, understand the IT integration strategy and its priorities.
  • Develop and align a strategy for all IT integration activities
  • Build and manage a capable supply base to deliver on that strategy

Sourcing & Contracting

  • Align short-, mid- and long term sourcing needs, develop an effective sourcing approach and support an implementation roadmap that delivers on objectives set.
  • Scout capable suppliers, assess their added value and the strategic fit to Mediq
  • Analyse data, present findings and identify potential opportunities
  • Award business based on objective and pre-aligned criteria
  • Contract suppliers and facilitate implementation of the supplier in the Mediq business

Supplier Account Management

  • Lead of all commercial supplier communication
  • Gather feedback on supplier performance
  • Drive compliance in accordance to legislation and Mediq policy
  • Manage supply risk and escalations

Performance

  • Own the cost productivity roadmap for the category and secure P&L impact in line with target
  • Manage a funnel of sourcing initiatives/projects in line with agreed timelines
  • Consolidate supply base, Optimize Payment terms and drive Contract compliance and Suppliers performance

Technical Skills

  • Experienced Procurement professional, with a strong background in procurement of IT
  • A sound understanding and use of best practice within the category
  • Detailed knowledge of the full procurement process and be able to adapt this process to pragmatically deliver challenging savings targets
  • Successful track record of leading complex negotiations and contracting

Education & Experience

  • Master Degree
  • 4-5 years working experience in IT Procurement
  • Post M&A integration experience is a plus
  • Experience in a large multinational
  • Working in a matrix organization
