Sales Manager

The Sales Manager is responsible for delivering ambitious sales targets by developing and implementing the sales strategy and leading and inspiring the sales team (12 people). They have to build and manage an initiative plan in close cooperation with the Director of International Trade to achieve Sales targets in 3 areas: • B2B in the Dutch market • Global Export • International Trade. They are responsible for setting up and leading a sales funnel and account management approach. They will analyze sales development to develop new sales projects to constantly drive revenue generation from new customers and markets. They must actively contribute to further optimizing the sales force's effectiveness.

What will you do?

Sales Performance

  • Deliver the sales budget in terms of revenue and gross margin
  • Develop and implement Sales Funnel and Account Management approach tailored to the three different markets, defining account strategy, market share/ competitors, and growth opportunities
  • Plan and execute sales initiatives with and through your team
  • Monitor and maintain the performance and productivity of the team
  • Identification and support of key prospects and deals

People Leadership:

  • Provide leadership to a mixed team of sourcing talents
  • Inspire your team with outstanding leadership, guidance, and coaching
  • Coordinate activities and drive the effectiveness of the team resources
  • Set targets, evaluate performance, and build competence
  • Attract and grow talent via training or coaching activities

What is your background?

  • Bachelor's or master's degree
  • > 5 years of proven sales leadership experience in the medical field
  • Experience in mid-size/large multinational companies with a matrix structure
  • Fluent in English and Dutch
  • Knowledge of Sales and Account Management in international settings and state-of-the-art-best practices incl. their implementation.
  • Ability to design actionable Sales and Account Management strategy incl. governance
  • Ability to drive and manage innovation and change processes
  • Analytical skills and derivation of actionable messages
  • Project management skills and related governance skills
  • Ability to persuade, negotiate, collaborate, and communicate with individuals/ stakeholders/ governing bodies, etc., throughout the company at all levels
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate with all external parties in a target-oriented, clear, precise, and representative manner
  • Knowledge of MS Office tools
  • Strong commercial drive
  • Structured, data-driven approach
  • Result orientated personality
  • Hands-on and can-do mentality
  • Open and accessible, you enjoy collaborating, meeting people, and socializing;
  • Strong communication and presentation skills;
