Sourcing Leader Benelux

With our European footprint, Mediq’s Sourcing spans across all geographies with a centralized category team and local sourcing teams. Mediq is on it’s way to build world-class sourcing function across the organization under the leadership of the VP Sourcing and is now building the Sourcing Organization. The Sourcing Lead Benelux will have the opportunity to take part in this exciting journey and shape the future of sourcing at Mediq. In this role you will be part of the global team and report directly to the VP Sourcing with a dotted reporting line to the EVP Benelux.

What are you going to do?

The Sourcing Cluster Leader is leading the implementation of sourcing strategy in his/her cluster and will be overall responsible for the coordination of the local cluster sourcing activities and will be part of the Sourcing Leadership Team. He/she has to develop and manage an initiative plan in close cooperation with the (global) sourcing department and Category Management within his/her cluster.

He/she is responsible for setting up and leading sourcing projects within the cluster. He/she will analyze the spend to set up these (saving) projects, mainly initiating and leading sourcing related projects. He/she needs to actively contribute to further optimization of the cluster sourcing organization. Additionally, he/she will play an active role in sourcing related negotiations in the cluster.

He/she will establish, together with the VP sourcing and EVP cluster targets and objectives for its region and acts as a change leader. You will be leading the cluster sourcing team ensuring that they will contribute positively towards the company results.

Key Accountabilities:

Team Leadership

  • Provide leadership to a team of high performing strategic sourcing managers
  • Ensure flawless cooperation between cluster/country and the global function
  • Inspire your team with great leadership, guidance and coaching
  • Coordinate activities and drive effectiveness of the team resources
  • Set targets, evaluate performance and build competence
  • Attract and grow talent via training or coaching activities

Business Partner & Strategy Alignment

  • Understand local commercial strategy and priorities.
  • Be an integrated business partner towards the local management team.
  • Co-develop global category sourcing strategy and secure local relevance for the cluster and/or countries.
  • Define a locally relevant sourcing strategy for the cluster, based on global category strategies and drive implementation with stakeholders within the cluster

Performance & Financial Planning

  • Drive local budgeting/forecasting process and align with global sourcing objectives
  • Secure sourcing savings are linked to the EBITA bridge of the clusters
  • Maintain dashboard for your cluster and ensure updated data is reported timely
  • Track implementation, report results and secure benefits land in the P&L
  • Prepare for cluster contribution in global/local review meetings

Execute Sourcing

  • Plan and prepare strategic sourcing activities throughout the year
  • Run tenders, analyse RFP/RFQ data, manage the decision-making process and award business based on objective, pre-aligned criteria and scoring matrix
  • Be responsible for source to contract process within cluster
  • Drive implementation of the supplier contract in Mediq
  • Facilitate supplier rating, support local audits, drive tail management.
  • Update and safeguard the local SOPS
Revenue Enablement
  • Support strategic/exclusive partnerships for joint business development activities and access to innovation
  • Work closely together with category management, finance and sales on price updates to customers to secure internal profit margins
  • Support cluster/local customer tenders with tender specific pricing and CBT opportunities

Education & Experience
